I started to live in a different country as I was newly born, a neighbor country of my origin. I spent my kindergarten days in Japan, and elementary in Netherland. I was told that I spoke Japanese back then, but I don¡¯t recall any memories of speaking Japanese or places in Japan. Memories started to become more vivid in Netherland, pulling and pushing car carts with my friends, passing by windmills on the ways, and how can I forget the vast field of beautiful tulips.
Pressure of middle and high school academics commenced in America. Fun time was over and university preparation had to be initiated. Grades were taken seriously, school activities had to be participated. All those effort went down the drain, when my parents decided to keep my older brothers in States and station me in Korea. I think, my parents didn¡¯t want all of their children to become an American.
It was tough at first, but I managed to achieve bachelor¡¯s degree and started to work in finance industry. Due to being accustomed to traveling, I ended my 8 years of work in finance and went on a voyage to different countries. Currently, I am fully-charged for a new journey with my vocation.
Living and traveling to various countries have made me multi-cultural and expanded my views to see more broadly from different perspective.
