CIS (CIS International English School) is seeking a native English teacher for an opening beginning in September 2009. The owners of the school, David and Sarah Kim have lived and worked professionally in England and the USA. Now they bring their international experience toward making a difference in the worldviews of children in Korea. Both Native English Teachers and bilingual Korean teachers are on staff often teachers sign for a second year.
CIS is an academic orientated private foreign language school teaching children from age 6 and upwards, young adults preparing for university entrance exams, college students transferring to western universities, and adult ESL certification classes.
BENEFITS:
- Furnished, unshared two bed room Modern apartment within walking distance to school (5 minute by walk)
- Maximum class size of 12 students
- No weekends
- No morning classes or "split shifts"
- 22 teaching hours per week, Class start 3pm to 11pm
- Modern classrooms and well-equipped teacher¡¯s room
- Free dinner on working days
- Great location with numerous western restaurants, shopping, entertainment, transportation in Incheon, Korea's 3rd largest city
- Close to downtown Seoul (40 min. subway ride)
- Round-trip airfare paid (reimbursed upon arrival)
- 10 vacation days (5 scheduled + 5 personal/sick days) in addition to all national holidays
- unused sick day bonus at the end of the contract 400,000 won
- Optional Saturday class 30,000 won per hour
- Overtime teaching available at the rate of 25,000 won per hour
- Basic medical insurance shared equally (50% paid by CIS and 50% paid by employee)
- Completion bonus (1 month extra salary for completing the one-year contract)
- Salary of up to 2.2-2.5 million won/month depending upon qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
CIS is looking for native English speakers who hold at least a Bachelor's Degree for a teaching position. Education majors and/or teaching experience are preferred, however, all applicants will be considered. We look for teachers that display professionalism, patience and passion.
