Job Description:
1. Teaching a regular subject, 'English Conversation', for the 1st graders
(19 hours a week - 1 hour is 50 mins)
2. Teaching an extra subject, 'Club activity: aiming for improving aural and oral competence and performance(max. 20 students, probably 2 to 3 hours a month, Saturday working, once a month, obligatory)
3. Leading 'English Conversation Club' and teaching the members under support of a couple of domestic English teachers(Currently students gather twice a week after school, besides occasional association in and out of the school)
4. Being on duty during office hours for students' and teachers' benefit.
Qualifications
1. Native Speaker of English (Nationality is not considered)
2. Bachelor's degree(Major may be considered)
3. Certificate of TESOL/TEFL or teaching experience in Korea preferred but not obligatory
4. Must have enthusiasm in teaching and working with high school students
Conditions & Benefits
1. Duration of contract: effective from Mar 2, 2009 to Feb 28, 2010(renewable)
2. Salary: 2.0 ~ 2.2 million Korean Won per month depending on the qualifications. (Medical insurance is 50% paid by the school)
3. Housing: 4-bedroom school apartment provided(exclusively possessed, all furnished)
4. Work days: 5-day work, Mon through Fri, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.(once a month Saturday working is obligatory-only in the morning)
5. Vacation/Holidays: 3-week paid vacation during summer and winter vacation and all Korean national holidays.
6. Employee shall be entitled to severance pay(equivalent to approximate one month's salary), upon successful completion of each one-year contract.
