Visiting Professor for the Freshman English Program
JOB DESCRIPTION:
1. Beginning Date: March 1, 2012
2. For Daegu teaching positions:
Beginning Salary with an M.A. degree: 2.3 million KRW/Month Beginning Salary with a Ph.D. degree: 2.4 million KRW/Month
*KRW = Korean Won; As of November, 2011 the USD 1.00 = KRW 1,135.
3. Vacation: Minimum 8 full weeks of paid vacation
4. Teaching Schedule:
Spring and Fall Semesters
Duration: 16 - 17 weeks
Contract Hours: 18 hours per week
Class Hours: Between 9 am & 4pm, Monday - Friday
Class Size: 20 students per class
Other Duties: Attendance records, homework, testing & grading
Summer and Winter Sessions : Intensive Program/Credit Course - Same as Spring & Fall
Duration: 4 weeks
Contract Hours: 20 hours per week
Class Hours: Between 9 am & 4pm, Monday -Friday
Other Duties: Attendance records, homework, testing & grading

QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Native speaker of English
2. Education:
Preferred
MA in TESOL
MA in Applied Linguistics
M.Ed.
More than 1 year ESL/EFL Experience
Acceptable
BA in relevant field (ELT) with TEFL/TESOL Certificate will be considered
More than 3 years experience at the university level
(1 year institute = 0.3 of a university year, 1year elementary school = 0.5 of a university year)
Previous EFL teaching experience (experience in Korea preferred)
