Uchon Elementary is a private school located in Seongbuk-Gu, close to Line 4, Hansung University Station. We have several positions as a homeroom teacher with an equal homeroom responsibility with a Korean teacher which is more than simply teaching your class. It is working with their parents, and being a solid foundation and good role-model as well.
Minimum Qualifications:
* Currently teaching in Korea with an E-2 visa and two years experience.
* B.A. with 120+ hours TESOL/TEFL certification or accredited certification from the U.S. or Canada.
Salary:
* 2.4 million KRW B.A. with TESOL/TEFL 120+ hours certification.
* 2.5 million KRW M.A. in any discipline with certification.

National Holidays All Korean national holidays will be paid with time off.
Travel Allowance 750,000 KRW will be given as a travel stipend to cover some of the expenses of travel over the vacations upon contact completion or on a per year basis.
Severance Pay equal to one month¡¯s salary will be paid for the successful contract completion or on a per year basis.
Sick Days 5 paid sick days or 600,000 KRW will be paid if days are untaken at contract completion or on a per year basis.
Compassionate/Marriage Leave 5 paid days.
Relocation Allowance will be given in the first month¡¯s pay in the amount of 300,000 KRW.
Job Security An option to sign a two year contract. A 50,000 KRW monthly salary raise will go into effect beginning the second year.
Housing:
Options: 600,000 KRW per month housing allowance (no key money); or a single apartment with 10 million KRW key money with 500,000 KRW housing allowance towards the rent.
Vacation:
8 weeks paid vacation depending on the calendar year.
General Information:
The position will start from March 2, 2012, but ideally, teachers should be available several days before the first day to set up their classrooms.
