"The school"
Students, typically in an 8~12 week course, have eight hours of instruction per day. A well-trained staff of English-speaking Koreans teach Reading, Listening, and Writing. On the other hand, a
team of five native-English speakers teach Conversation, Debate, Pronunciation and so on. The school is located at the ROK Air Force Education & Training Command in Jinju city. The base has been
compared to a garden by past instructors, and is a short bus or taxi ride from the heart of a growing, dynamic city. The city is a one-hour bus trip from Busan and a three-and-a-half hour trip from
Seoul.

"What we're looking for"
- Real ESL teachers. Someone with a passion for teaching English, or at least an active interest in it. What we are not looking for is someone who just wants to finance a trip abroad or pay off
student loans. We have no objection to travelers or people wishing to clear debt, but we insist on more than this.
- Although experience has shown us that somewhat more mature teachers have the best chance of interacting with our students, young and passionate teachers may also apply.
"Pay & Benefits"
- Working hours = 8hrs a day, 5days a week
- Teaching hours = 6hrs a day, with an option of teaching night classes for extra pay
- 2.1 million won per month (negotiable, 0.1 million increase at the time of contract renewal)

- 2.4 million Won bonus upon completion of one-year contract with the possibility of contract renewal with approval of both parties
- Free on-base housing, furnished with air-conditioning, television, refrigerator, and kitchen unit, with minimal utilities (Less than 25$ per month)

"Requirements" (Very Important !!)
- When you apply to FLI, you should clearly state or attach(via e-mail) the following information.
1. Basic resume, which should include your name, date of birth, nationality. Also, your previous experiences as a teacher or equivalent, all the names of colleges you graduated or studied at, your
major or minor, and so on.
2. A scanned version of your passport and foreign registration card.
3. Word file of reference or recommendation letter(s). And please state when your current contract with your employer terminates.
4. And also please state whether you have a TESOL or its equivalent, and whether you can actually come to Jinju for an interview with us. (This is required in our hiring process). Although teachers can apply from abroad(these teachers will be interviewed differently), we at Foreign Language Institute prefer those who are currently in Korea teaching.
5. Please state when you are available to start working.
