English Faculty Position
The Liberal Arts Department in Jeonju University is looking for qualified faculty members to join its English teaching faculty from March 1, 2012. Jeonju University has continued making superb strides in educational development and continues to strengthen its English program each year. Our department prides itself in its low turnover of foreign staff, with most teachers staying for an average of four years. The positions available are for non-tenure track faculty who teach English courses within the general education program. Candidates with an M.A. or higher will be highly considered, but the position does not require a completed Master's Degree. Candidates with a B.A. in English/Education will be strongly considered with a preference for teachers with at least three years of teaching experience. Teaching responsibilities in our program include courses in English Conversation, English Listening, English Reading and Writing, Speech & Drama, Video English and other courses offered within and outside of the department. Teaching evaluation and interview: Saturday, December 10, 2011.

Department: Liberal Arts
Position: Non-tenure track English faculty position
Contract Term: 2-year contract (renewable)
Teaching Areas: Freshman/Sophomore English Conversation, English Listening, Reading & Writing, Speech & Drama, Video English, etc.
Qualifications: Native English-speaker; M.A. TESOL/Education preferred; B.A. in English/Education strongly considered with 3 years of teaching experience required; Christian preferred
Teaching Hours: 16 hours of teaching per week plus one hour in the English Cafe
Salary: 20,000,000~30,000,000 won/year (pay dependent on degree & teaching experience)
Extra teaching hours & pay: Overtime payment will be paid for teaching over your regular hours or during vacation.
Vacation: summer and winter vacation (approximately 8 weeks each)
Health Insurance and Korea Teachers Pension: Both are provided following the regulations of Korean law.
Housing: A housing allowance of 330,000 won per month is provided for teachers. Financial Support for Research: Faculty members can apply for research grants with the Korea Research Foundation (KRF). Also, research funds are available for published research papers within nationally recognized published journals.
