1 Position: Full-time professorship (one position) at the rank of Instructor to Professor (Assistant, Associate,
Full), depending on qualifications.
2. Contract period: 12 months (September 1, 2011 to August 31, 2012), but renewable annually.
3. Teaching conditions: Duties include teaching 8 class hours per week at the graduate level during two regular semesters (16 weeks/semester), scholarly research achievement, and participation in departmental and university activities.
4. Salary & Benefits: Annual salary is dependent upon the candidate¡¯s qualifications and experience. For instance, the starting salary for a foreign assistant professor is 3,627,200 won per month, whereas the starting salary for a foreign associate professor is 4,148,000 won per month. Taxes, retirement pension and health insurance will be deducted in accordance with Korean law. Paid vacation (during summer/winter academic breaks) is included. Research incentives including seed funding and conference-attending assistance are also provided for qualified faculty.
5. Other benefits: Free accommodations (excluding utility fees) are provided with either a single or family room assigned within a dormitory for foreign professors. Each room is equipped with a TV, refrigerator, air conditioner, bed, table, closet, desk/chair, etc, and private bathroom. One-way airfare (economy class) is provided if recruited from abroad.
